Sterilizer is a pressurized vessel (steam pressure) which is used to reduce the water content of oil palm fruit, facilitate the release of munitions and inactivate fruit loose activating activity of harmful enzymes (lipase and oxydase)
Currently sterilizer has several types, namely: sterilizer horizontal, vertical and oblique.
Sterilizer horizontal flat-shaped cylinders with diameters ranging from lorry capacity up to 7500 kg 1500 kg TBS, the inside of the cooking there are rails for lorries and steam spreader. While the vertical sterilizer is a vertical cylindrical tube built but not equipped with a rail lorries, the inside of the sterilizer is equipped with 2 pieces of conveyor (Archer and discharge auger) to facilitate the discharge pipe in the fruit and let boil / drain clean water. Likewise, the oblique sterilizer , no significant differences in vertical sterilizer only about 45-degree slope is only aimed at ease spending boiled ripe fruit.
